Maybelline New York Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick- Touch of Spice, Chilli Nude – Review & Swatches , India.

” On a bad day, there is always lipstick.”

I’m back with another review, of a affordable , matte lipsticks. The maybelline new york color sensational creamy matte lipstick has range of 35 shades all total. I have one of them – Touch of spice, which is much loved.

Availability and Price :

Price : Rs 299 ( for 3.9g)

Packaging :

It comes in a bullet form with a translucent cap. The cap has a mauve-brown color , matte finish. The chilli nude one however comes in a orange-ish brown cap and has Maybelline New York engraved in the lipstick bottle. The sticker at the bottom is colour coded . The packaging doesn’t feel flimsy at all.

Formula :

As claimed, it’s very creamy. Slides on lip like butter. Also it settles down within next 2 mins. It transfers a tiny bit for the first 30 mins and then. Eventually settles down and hardly transfers.

Staying power :

It stays on the lips for good 5-7 hours. While eating , it starts to fade from the center . Also it leaves a nice tint as it fades away.

The shade :

The touch of spice is a mauvy-pinkish shade. It looks more brown in the picture ( no matter what lightning and how many times I tried to take picture) but it’s more on the mauvy side. It’s definitely a daily wear nude shade. This shade will be so perfect for duskier and deeper skin tones , for a daily nude.

Chilli nude is the perfect burnt orange shade with warm undertone. It’s the perfect mixture of brown , orange and red. For fair skin, it’s bit deep in colour that any nude.

Will I recommend?

Obviously. These are very pocket friendly, specially for college going people. Also so creamy , won’t dry out your lips.
