Like your body and mind, your skin too gets tired after a long day’s work. Hectic lifestyle and exposure to daily environmental aggressors can lead to pigmentation, dullness and accelerated signs of ageing. Supercharged with antioxidants and vitamin C from superfruits like kakadu plum and acerola cherry, Dot & Key’s Vitamin C Serum aims to both prevent and correct the damage caused by these skin stressors.
A concoction of potent ingredients, this vitamin C serum boosts collagen production, accelerates repair and smoothens expression lines.  With stable Vitamin C in a weightless, quick absorbing, water base formula, this serum actively illuminates the complexion, and eliminates dullness and dark spots by neutralizing free radicals. Infused with moisture magnet hyaluronic acid, this vitamin C serum for face provides intense hydration restoring skin’s plumpness. It contains no nasty chemicals, and is completely safe and gentle on skin. The result? A noticeably brighter, more radiant complexion, with signs of ageing and photo damage minimised. Add it to your beauty routine to make skin less fatigued and more luminous.

My thoughts :

1. Pump 3-4 drops of the face serum onto your palm.
2. Apply in dots all over the face.
3. Massage in upward circular motion until completely absorbed.
4. For best results, use in the morning and evening, followed by a sunscreen.

As one grows , one should start incorporating Vitamin C in their skincare routine. Vitamin C or Ascorbic Acid , is a antioxidant which help to fight the free radicals and the damaged that is caused by harmful sun rays. Therefore, it also helps in fights signs of ageing and clear pigmented skin, giving a natural glow to your skin. The process usually takes up more time and one may not see results immediately but it’s good for the skin in long run.

Dot and Key’s Vitamin C concentrate is really very weightless , gets absorbed into the skin very quickly and gives a matte finish. It has a runny consistency and clear. I require 3-4 drops to cover my entire face and neck.  You obviously need to wear a cream over it  and a sunscreen (when used in day) . I have been using this for a month now ( for every morning ) , I haven’t seen any such drastic glowing, radiant skin or any brightening effect. But my face isn’t that dull even. It didn’t cause any breakout. If you are looking to reduce pigmentation with this, you have to wait for 2-3 months.

It has also got a good strong smell to it . Extremely sensitive skin or people who can’t stand very strong smell might seem to have a problem with this.

Would I recommend it ?

People without sensitive skin can give this a try, though this takes a lot of time . It’s a okay-ish serum , not a must have. I feel there are better Vitamin C serums in the market.

MY RATING : 3.5/5

Summary :

Pros :

  • Lovely Packaging
  • Free of Nasty Chemicals
  • Didn’t cause any breakout
  • Brightens the complexion over time .
  • Rich in Antioxidants

Cons :

  • pH & Percentage of Vitamin C is not mentioned.
  • Very Slow action.
  • Strong smell.
